Hiring Range: $76,892.79 – $95,000
Job DutiesWhat skillset is needed? Honestly, a little bit of everything! The right candidate should be able to:- Develop marketing and promotional materials
- Create a cohesive social media marketing strategy
- Implement on-air, off-air, and digital marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to help Reidsville shine
- Make the most out of a budget that totals around $600,000 overall
- Work within the frame of local government while thinking outside the box
Do I have any help? Of course! The City of Reidsville values the team-oriented approach. You will have the support of a pro-active City Manager and fellow Management Team members. You will oversee your team:- a Main Street Manager, who plans/coordinates events downtown and at Market Square and serves as liaison for the Reidsville Downtown Corporation/Main Street Advisory Board
- a Penn House Manager, who manages/markets our City-owned event venues, and supervises the Farmer’s Market Coordinator. The PH Manager supervises a staff of part-time employees who provide support for events and conferences A newly created Business Development Manager, who assists new and expanding businesses navigate the process of inspections, licensing, and code enforcement.
Required QualificationsIf interested in applying, what do I need?- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, economic development, public administration, or a related field. Master’s preferred.
- Certification from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) desired, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment with the City of Reidsville.
- Management experience is necessary to lead the divisions.
