EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER POSITION - Effingham location. Full-year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Responsibilities include the implementation of classroom services with daily routines that create meaningful learning experiences with a comprehensive research based infant and toddler curriculum that nurtures the unique strengths, interests and needs of children the age of three. Each child's schedule, developmental stage and family needs will be supported by teacher-led and child-led activities planned throughout the day. Activities include floor play/free choice, meal times, bottle feeding, gross motor, large group/small group activities, diapering, hand washing, and napping.
Associates degree in child development early childhood education OR equivalent (defined as 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education) and Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential or 3 semester hours of college credit in administration, leadership, or management OR 60 semester hours from an accredited college/university with 6 semester hours in child care/development OR 1 year of child development experience in nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours of credits with 6 semester courses in child care/development OR completion of a CDA (child development associate) credential. Must be at least 19 years of age.
