    EnviroPhase, a leading Dallas based environmental consulting firm, is seeking an Environmental Scientist or Project Geologist based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with prior experience in commercial/industrial Phase I/II/III environmental site investigations, due diligence, and regulatory compliance projects.

    Location: Dallas-Fort Worth area

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or closely related field

    Experience: 2 or more years of work experience in the field, primarily related to environmental services including Phase I and Phase II ESA's, well/soil boring installations, environmental sampling, compliance inspections, and supervising contractors. Technical writing including preparing text, tables, figures, field documentation, and calculations for environmental reports.

    Certifications: 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification and current 8-Hour Refresher strongly desired. Preference for candidates with TCEQ LPST Corrective Action Project Manager (CAPM), and/or Geologist in Training (GIT).

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform a variety of reporting and field work for environmental due diligence, assessment, remediation, and PST projects.
    • Perform field work, including Phase II ESAs and oversight of PST/UST tank pulls.
    • Collection and evaluation of field data including air, soil, and groundwater samples and logging soil borings.
    • Provide oversight and management of contractors.
    • Work independently or as part of a project team and be able to adjust to changing site conditions.
    • Work closely with Project Managers in implementing project tasks to meet client objectives priorities, schedules and budgets.
    • Provide technical support to projects in all phases of work and a variety of scopes.
    • Support environmental permitting, permit compliance, and environmental due diligence projects.
    • Communication of technical concepts, evaluation results, plans, reports, etc., and ensures conformance to applicable technical standards as well as company policies and procedures.
    • Manages own time to meet agreed targets; develops plans for short-term work activities.

    Other Qualifications:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
    • Good problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills.
    • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe.
    • Knowledge and understanding of state and federal environmental regulations.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple activities on an on-going basis to meet project scope, schedule, and budget.

    Travel: Regular travel to local (DFW) area job site in personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) plus up to 20% travel for projects in the State of TX and potentially elsewhere. Use of personal vehicle is required with mileage reimbursed at published government rates. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

    Physical Demands: Field assignments are located in a variety of climactic conditions at times including difficult and diverse climates. Position requires standing, walking, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs. for extended hours. Position requires use of hand tools and equipment. This position also requires extended periods of sitting when compiling data.

    Benefits: EnviroPhase provides paid vacation, sick and parental leave, along with seven (7) paid holidays. Company furnished laptop and cell phone stipend. No health or retirement benefits are provided currently but may be offered in the near future.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
