Summary
National manufacturing trade association seeks a person to work on scientific and technical issues in an advocacy environment. Key issues would include chemicals management, product labeling, TSCA, FIFRA , air quality (VOC) regulations and sustainability issues. Candidate should preferably have a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, or chemistry and proven track record of managing science and technology activities, including support for research projects and technical publications. Knowledge of the paint and coatings or allied chemical industry would be helpful. Experience in a manufacturing facility for formulated products is a plus.
Responsibilities include analysis of legislative and regulatory proposals, advocacy on local, state or federal level, including comment development, submission and testifying before regulatory agencies or legislative bodies as well as development of compliance guidance.
