- Location: Houghton, MI, Per Diem Available.
Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is looking for an EHS professional for a construction project building dorms and office facilities. We are looking for a construction safety professional who is passionate about the safety and health of employees, an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing, has good computer skills, is self-directed, and has experience in heavy machinery installation. The selected person will travel some between Houghton and Newberry, MI.
In addition, we are looking for someone who can fulfill the following criteria:
Responsibilities:- Provide EHS support to the management team.
- Coordinate with the facility management team on any needed training, daily inspections, reporting, and other EHS activities as directed.
- Complete regular, standardized reports detailing project safety status and report to management
- Maintain safety logs - file and track all site safety reports, injuries, and illnesses.
- Assist in external agency interactions (OSHA Inspectors, OSHA Log Management) as appropriate
- The project has started and is anticipated to be at least a 1 year or longer project.
Qualifications:- 5-7 years of construction safety experience.
- 7 to 10 years of continuous safety management experience.
- 30-hr OSHA construction card.
- OSHA 500.
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate.
- CHST Preferred.
