    Location: Monroe County, WI (Fort McCoy)

    Job Type: Full-Time

    Work Schedule: Monday - Saturday

    Performance Evaluated by: Project Manager

    Purpose: To Enforce the Safety Program on the job site, manage safety documentation, and communicate with the Safety Director and Trainer, Superintendents, Project Managers, and crew to maintain an accident-free construction site.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: *RC will gladly provide reasonable accommodations to assist in performing these essential job functions so long as it does not create an undue burden.

    • Maintain a safe and healthful site while meeting or exceeding standard safety policies in the Accident Prevention Plan & R.C. Construction Safety Manual
    • Implement the APP & Safety Manual
    • Ensure subcontractors and site visitors follow the safety rules and regulations.
    • Communicate safety rules and regulations.
    • Consistently enforce all rules and regulations
    • Promote a positive atmosphere for the R.C. Construction Safety Program
    • Recognize safe workers.
    • Reward consistently safe work habits
    • Communicate safe methods and procedures to accomplish tasks.
    • Encourage workers to help each other work safely.
    • Organize an efficient and effective process for safety documentation.
    • Understand documentation requirements and procedures.
    • Define responsibilities and expectations of personnel.
    • Manage paperwork for easy completion and filing.
    • Monitor the project schedule for important deadlines.

    EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Maintaining OSHA 30-hour and current CPR and First Aid certifications.
    • Maintain Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification
    • Complete at least 8 Hours of Safety Continuing Education annually
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain base access.
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from Jobsite.
    • A minimum of 3 years of relatable experience
    • Accuracy & attention to detail must be a natural talent.
    • Communicates effectively with different personality styles.
    • Think ahead and plans for the future.
    • Demonstrates supportive behavior and alignment with management.
    • Uses position and power appropriately to accomplish the purpose.
    • Demonstrates a point of view that anticipates positive outcomes.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: *The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

    • Occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
    • Walk, sit, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift overhead, and work at heights.
    • Walk/work in rough terrain to access equipment, tools, materials, and job site in order to complete work.
    • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Hearing adequate to perform tasks.
    • Ability to climb up and down ladders while maintaining balance.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job tasks.
    • Employee is regularly exposed to noise, dust, to include silica, and various types of smells.
    • Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles.
    • Employee must be able to properly use and handle hazardous chemicals.
    • Employee may be exposed to unique military and governmental environments to include aviation operations, weapons ranges, troop maneuvers, and unexploded ordnance.
