Description

Responsibilities:  

• Must work closely with Risk Management to prevent accidents, cargo claims, and employee injuries. 
• Ensure drivers understand and follow Acme policies and procedures.
• Lead new applicant orientation and drive away orientation.
• Manage and teach ongoing safety classes such as DAT, DART, TAPS, and customer-required training, both live and online. 
• Attend and present at terminal safety meetigs
• Perform inspections on trucks and trailers
• Perform road tests and commentary drives as needed.  
• Complete a Certified Driver Trainer designation and TXTA Fleet Practitioner certificate
• Must be able to travel to outlying terminals to make field visits and conduct field audits, or complete company projects as necessary. 
• Engage with terminals on HSE questions and provide support such as OS/OD hauls or HM response and cleanup.

Compensation:

• Base Salary paid biweekly.  
• Quarterly performance bonus

Requirements

Completion of High School

Must be able to work in a team setting

Adhere to all safety standards

Knowledgeable in basic computer skills. Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel
