The Role

BGC is looking for a highly motivated and organized Executive Assistant to join our Vancouver Team. Providing general administrative support to our Management Team and Board of Directors, this role will be responsible for a variety of tasks requiring a high degree of judgment, discretion and confidentiality. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills are essential for this role.  BGC offers a flexible workplace with a minimum in-office requirement of 3 days per week. 

Responsibilities

• Support with calendar management and coordination of meetings and appointments over multiple time zones. Bring forward calendar items for follow up and/or action, issue reminders, and follow up on responsibilities
• Coordinate internal and external meetings and events, board meetings, catering, booking meeting rooms/venues, and preparing agendas and meeting materials
• Manage urgent requests and tasks for multiple high-level team members
• Prepare complex travel coordination; itinerary and logistics management
• Inbox management, including maintaining, organizing and escalating time-sensitive emails
• Draft and edit professional correspondence, documents and presentations, as required

• Supports other projects as assigned by the Executive Assistant and/or Management Team
• Provide back-up support within the executive assistant team, ensuring appropriate executive support and leave coverage
• Some personal assisting tasks, as needed
  

 
Required Education, Experience & Competencies

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant executive support experience or a combination of experience and post-secondary education
• Previous experience in a professional services or consulting firm
• Professional, diplomatic, and excellent English communication skills
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Flexible, embracing change with enthusiasm with the ability to pivot quickly
• High attention to detail 
• Collaborative approach to working in a team environment 
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressur
• Proficient in MS Office products

The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 CAD per annum, however base pay will be commensurate with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. BGC's compensation package also includes a training allowance and a comprehensive medical and dental plan.
