Position Title: Social Studies Teacher

Position Overview:

Exploration High School (ExHS) invites applications for a dedicated Social Studies Teacher to join our team. We seek individuals who have a zeal for working with high school students, who build meaningful relationships such that students feel safe to explore Social Studies in new ways, and who enjoy a collaborative, innovative work environment. We are interested in candidates who reflect the diversity within our school and who enrich the diversity of identity, lived experience, and thinking.

Our graduates are empowered with 21st century skills to solve the problems in their communities through hands-on authentic learning. Candidate Qualifications:

• Belief in Exploration High School’s mission, vision, and values
• Enthusiastic self-starter operating with sustained energy and showing great initiative
• Ability to differentiate instruction and develop curriculum
• Licensed Secondary Education Social Studies Teacher (or open to working towards license)
• Design thinking and/or project-based learning experience preferred
• Google Drive proficiency, particularly with Google Docs and Google Sheets

Compensation & Time: Salaried position with a competitive benefits package, to include medical, dental, and vision for full-time employees. Position to start late August 2024.
