    Summer School - Monday, June 24th through Friday, July 12th. 14 days = 1 planning day 13 instructional days. 7.5 hours per day. 7:45am-3:45pm with a .50 lunch. July 4th & 5th are non-work/non-paid.

     

    This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected.

     

    Evergreen Public Schools (EPS) offers the following to eligible employees who work at least 630 hours in a school year:

    Certificated positions may have additional pay provisions above what is represented on the salary schedule such as, but not limited to TRI pay, In-Service days, and Extended Contracts, all in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) as negotiated.

    Essential Functions:

     

    Provide instruction in Career Exploration, knowledge, skills and competencies and assist student in setting goals.

    • Responsible for all student supervision and learning.
    • Assist students in learning how to research and relate to careers of interest.
    • Provide support of basic academic skills and leadership.
    • Create opportunities for students to explore a variety of careers.
    • Maintain a positive relationship with students, staff, parents, and community by modeling respect, cooperation, and professionalism with others, recognizing the personal achievements and professional contributions of others and demonstrating knowledge of a sensitivity toward individuals and groups from all racial, ethnic/cultural, national socio-economic backgrounds.
    • Provide scheduling and supervision of field trips and guest speakers.
    • Follow the schedule for Summer School and attend all meetings.
    • Maintain appropriate student records and report student progress in Skyward System.
    • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment with effective classroom management and discipline procedures while maintaining good instructor/student communication and rapport.
    • Organize, manage, and appropriately maintain the instructional facility, equipment, resources, and provide a safe working/learning environment.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Must be a CTE certified teacher in Career Choices.
