Top Facilities Management Executive leads overall operations and develops the strategy and policies to deliver design, planning, implementation, construction, and maintenance of an organization's facilities and properties. Plans and allocates the capital, equipment, and operating budget to support current operations and long-term facility plans. Being a Top Facilities Management Executive ensures the reliability of all building mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management systems. Reviews and negotiates contract terms and conditions for contractors selected for facility projects and the delivery of services. Additionally, Top Facilities Management Executive establishes building operations policies, procedures, and service standards to comply with all local laws and regulations. May be responsible for additional facility-related functions like food services, security, safety, environmental, or administrative services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Facilities Management Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.   • Job Summary:
    The Access Control personnel will be responsible for providing physical security support to the site. The primary duty of this position is to observe and report security and emergency situations. The Access Control position carries out detailed instructions and procedures primarily oriented to ensure that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered and reported to the appropriate authority. This individual will intervene directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property or persons.

    Duties require minimal training and physical fitness standards. The successful individual must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the security field. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks. The Access Control position works under general supervision and reports to the Access Control Lead. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

    Shift: Friday - Monday (32 hours), 2:00pm - 10:00pm (shift includes weekends)

    Pay Rate: $21.93 per hour total

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Provide physical security of buildings, systems, classified information, and networks, observe and report security and emergency situations, obtains help by sounding alarms
    • Provide access control to two (2) external access points during weekday duty day hours and 24 hours/7 days a week for one (1) internal Security access control point
    • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
    • Prepare and open the access control points prior to duty day
    • Produce and assign/issue access badges
    • Check all personnel badges entering the compound, question those who do not have a badge, identify the reason for visiting the facility, and provide the appropriate visitor badge once their information is verified
    • Maintain daily security logs of all visitors
    • Conduct end-of-day security checks of the entire site
    • Secure the access control points at the end of duty days
    • During shift work, periodically patrol buildings and grounds, docks, parking lots, and work sites
    • Conduct daily spot checks of all structures and storage areas
    • Perform safety checks throughout the facilities
    • Conduct inspections to maintain compliance with physical security policies and procedures
    • Provide assistance updating security roster and verifying Visitor Access Requests (VAR)
    • Updated visitor control database as required
    • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; and reporting trespassers
    • Controls traffic by directing drivers
    • Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements


    Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
    • Current and Active Secret Clearance.
    • 1-2 years of physical security experience.
    • Knowledge of computer applications such as email applications, Microsoft Office programs, and more.
    • Ability to provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors on-site.
    • Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
    • Excellent communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
    • Must be physically capable of providing assistance in the event of an emergency.

    Work Environment:

    Work is conducted at a facility with both indoors and outdoors exposure, including exposure to the elements and varying temperatures. Seventy-five percent of work is performed indoors.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Walking: ability to walk unaided in excess of one mile on improved and uninproved surfaces/ground and in a variety of temperatures. Standing: must be able to stand for extended periods of time up to two hours or more. Lifting/pushing/pulling: Must be able to manipulate a load of 30 lbs without assistance. Kneeling/squatting: Must have the ability to kneel/squat unaided and perform manual tasks. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Vision must be corre`ctable to 20/40 in both eyes and have reasonable binocular vision.
