Top Facilities Management Executive leads overall operations and develops the strategy and policies to deliver design, planning, implementation, construction, and maintenance of an organization's facilities and properties. Plans and allocates the capital, equipment, and operating budget to support current operations and long-term facility plans. Being a Top Facilities Management Executive ensures the reliability of all building mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management systems. Reviews and negotiates contract terms and conditions for contractors selected for facility projects and the delivery of services. Additionally, Top Facilities Management Executive establishes building operations policies, procedures, and service standards to comply with all local laws and regulations. May be responsible for additional facility-related functions like food services, security, safety, environmental, or administrative services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Facilities Management Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.     DemKota Ranch Beef is looking for Skilled Facilities Summer help with the possibility of working into a full-time position. Must have valid driver’s license. Be able to work in different conditions outside as well as inside the facility.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.

    • Mows, trims, edges, fertilizes, weeds, prunes, mulches, fertilizes, and sprays trees, plants, and shrubbery; prepares soil for planting; seeds and re-sods lawn areas; plants trees, seedlings, and shrubs.

    • Inspects assigned areas; corrects or reports safety hazards; cleans and maintains buildings and grounds.

    • Possible light carpentry and plumbing as well as other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

    Must have valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    High School diploma/GED; AND one (1) years of general maintenance experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


    KNOWLEDGE OF:

    • Basic principles, equipment, methods, and materials used in building and grounds maintenance activities.
    • Operation and maintenance of a variety of hand, power and shop tools used in a variety of trade areas.
    • Methods and techniques of planting, transplanting, cultivating, pruning, and maintaining a variety of lawns, ground cover, plants, shrubs, hedges, and trees.
    • Safe work methods and safety regulations pertaining to the work.
    • Communicating effectively in oral and written forms.
    • Ability to work in a diverse culture.


    SKILL IN:

    • Safely using and maintaining hand and power tools related to the work.
    • Performing general maintenance work, individually or as a member of a crew, in various areas.
    • Maintaining a variety of landscaped areas
    • Understanding and following oral and written directions.

    Work is subject to exposure to extreme weather conditions (cold & Heat), noise, electrical shocks, hazardous chemicals, electrical currents, gases, dust and noxious odors.
