Top Facilities Management Executive leads overall operations and develops the strategy and policies to deliver design, planning, implementation, construction, and maintenance of an organization's facilities and properties. Plans and allocates the capital, equipment, and operating budget to support current operations and long-term facility plans. Being a Top Facilities Management Executive ensures the reliability of all building mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management systems. Reviews and negotiates contract terms and conditions for contractors selected for facility projects and the delivery of services. Additionally, Top Facilities Management Executive establishes building operations policies, procedures, and service standards to comply with all local laws and regulations. May be responsible for additional facility-related functions like food services, security, safety, environmental, or administrative services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Facilities Management Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.     The Baylor Department of Athletics Event Management and Facilities is seeking an Assistant Director of Event Management and Facilities to help support the mission of Baylor University.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree 
    • Two year of experience
    • An active Christian faith
    • Proven ability to cultivate, develop and steward donor relationships
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Attention to detail, accuracy, and proficiency

    All applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. 

    What You Will Do

    • Works collaboratively with the department head on day-to-day business activities. 
    • Coordinates with the Athletics Business Office on special purchases and other areas of purchasing needs.
    • Supports all procure-to-pay activities for the department, including advising on appropriate procurement, contracts, travel, and expense processes and activities.
    • Ensures unit purchases and expenses are in compliance with regulations and University procurement and accounting policies and procedures.
    • Ensures timeliness and accuracy when performing Purchasing Card reconciliations.
    • Serves as liaison for outside group facility rentals, insurance retrievals, contract management, and coordinating Total Contract Management (TCM) activities.
    • Reviews and approves expenses and invoices for payment once goods and services are received.
    • Maintains master calendar of all university and athletics events and assist with various event coordination requirements. 
    • Maintains thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
    • Assist with community relations and customer service needs.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
    • Ability to comply with University policies
