SUMMARY OF POSITION :
This position is responsible to source products or services that provide Penn State Health exceptional quality while maintaining a total cost of ownership (TCO) that is most beneficial to Penn State Health, its stakeholders and its patients. This position coordinates efficiencies through enterprise-wide purchasing volume and negotiating with suppliers. Being responsible for procurement effectiveness on a category of products or services, the Sourcing Manager will coordinate project opportunities and work with teams through project management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor’s degree required.
Three (3) years of experience in a position requiring strategic sourcing, supply chain procurement analysis, supplier relations management.
Three (3) years of experience in a role requiring effective communication and customer service skills, interfacing with internal experts.
Experience in a position requiring contract negotiation.
Experience working in healthcare supply chain procurement.
Experience in healthcare contract management and sourcing.
Experience working in healthcare supply chain procurement.
Experience in healthcare contract management and sourcing.
Experience in a position requiring supplier negotiations.
Experience in a position requiring an understanding of contract terms and conditions.
Experience in financial and data analysis.
Experience in project management.
25% travel required (mostly within the delivery network).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
CPSM and/or CMRP certifications preferred.
