    Crittenden Community Hospital has an immediate opening for Full-time Payroll Clerk/Administrative Asst/Credentialing Coordinator. Competitive salary and benefits.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Is responsible for initiating and coordinating the clerical and secretarial functions required in effective implementation of administrative policies of an administrative unit along with being responsible for various activities and board support. Responsible for maintenance of the CPSI payroll and time and attendance system and functions in preparation of the payroll for CCH. The CEO provides general administrative review of objectives.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1.Perform clerical support duties as required by CEO, including files and correspondence, and ordering supplies through materials management.
    2.Schedule appointments for CEO and collect and prepare information for the CEO’s use in discussions and meetings with executive staff members and outside individuals.
    3.Assist with telephone calls and emails for CEO, rerouting to other personnel as needed.
    4.Process and maintain confidential information.
    5.Coordinate work related travel arrangements for CEO as needed.
    6.As directed by the CEO, arrange, coordinate the activities of, provide semiprofessional services to, participate in, and implement conferences and organization committee meetings, i.e., Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Department Leaders, and record meeting minutes to maintain an accurate record of decisions.
    A.Attend and record minutes for Compliance and Medical Exec. Meetings
    B.Attend and record minutes for the quarterly CCEDC meeting
    7.Respond to routine questions from patients, visitors, community and media representatives relative to the functions and activities of the hospital.
    8.Coordinate administrative details of facilities, invitations, catering, and other services for hospital functions, conferences, and banquets.
    9.Coordinates credentialing process of the Medical Staff that includes all licensed independent practitioners and other allied health professionals.
    A.Recordkeeping for all new applicants for Medical Staff Appointment and for granting of clinical privileges for physicians and allied health professionals.
    B.Recordkeeping for all applicants for reappointment to the Medical Staff and for renewal of clinical privileges.
    C.Coordinate communication and sharing of information between MidWest Credentialing and the Medical Staff/Providers and attend regular MidWest meetings.
    D.Provides clerical support for CEO regarding structure and processes, i.e., bylaws, credentialing, etc.
    E.Completes Medical Staff Verification requests
    10.Responsible for all relevant functions in preparation of the payroll input for the hospital.
    11.Preaudits input data and verifies authenticity of output in payroll.
    12.Handles various payroll adjustments, e.g., shortages, garnishments, bonuses, and payroll deductions for uniforms and gift shop.
    13.Responsible for preparation of W-2’s and distribution to employees.
    14.Assist department leaders/time keepers with training on CPSI time and attendance module.
    15.Promotes and participates in performance improvement activities.
    16.Supports the corporate mission: To provide quality, cost-effective healthcare in a positive and productive work environment.
    17.Adheres to the corporate values: Respect, quality service, teamwork, simplicity and creativity.
    18.Must attend all mandatory inservices.
    19.Complies with all applicable state and federal laws and conduct job activities in an ethical manner as outlined in Crittenden Community Hospital policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards and practices stipulated in the Corporate Compliance Plan
    20.Serve as receptionist in Admin suite, assisting and directing staff, patients and visitors as needed.
    21. Perform other related duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATION:

    EDUCATION, TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE:
    1.Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
    2.Must have administrative abilities including independent work skills, and ability to perform difficult typing duties.
    3.Prefer an individual with experience and excellent skills in Word, Excel (including ability to create spreadsheets), Power Point, and Microsoft Outlook.
    4.Ability to plan and coordinate activities.
    5.Ability to interact with public and project a positive image.
    6.Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    7.Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
    8.Prefer five (5) years of clerical experience, three (3) of which include organization, coordination, and performance of duties at a responsible level.
    9.Good interpersonal skills.
    10.Experience in computerized accounting and/or payroll functions.
