Job Summary
Papa John’s is seeking an experienced leader to join our IDS team in Louisville, KY.
As a Senior Manager, you will lead a team of engineers, business analysts, and administrators to deliver solutions that provide business value and contribute to the overall goals of Papa Johns. Our corporate application ecosystem consists of a diverse set of applications and services including custom developed applications, purchased business software packages, and SaaS applications. Our primary financial applications include PeopleSoft ERP, Hyperion, and Essbase.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of engineers, analysts, and administrators
- Set priorities for team members and manage team capacity including forecasting/estimating effort for specific initiatives
- Ownership of the entire application tech stack including front end, middleware, and back end
- Ownership of all maintenance activities including patching, upgrades, and vendor management
- Partner closely with business stakeholders on solutions that enable business growth and meet business objectives
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, engineers and architects on system architecture and design
- Accountable for successful delivery of projects from Initiation/Discovery through Production Launch/Hypercare
- Deliver projects on time, with quality, and within budget
- Accountable for application reliability and resilience including RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for P1 level outages/disruptions
- Accountable for all aspects of production support including incident management, monitoring, on-call rotation, and cross training
- Monitor key metrics (example: incident SLA), create presentations, lead reviews, and drive improvements
- Accountable for completion of compliance activities
- Create job postings, conduct interviews, and hire team members (both full time employees and contractors)
- Partner closely with Infrastructure and Information Security teams on key initiatives that keep our applications and services secure and meeting or exceeding Papa John’s internal standards

Education, Experience, Skills:
- BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar technical field of study
- 6 years’ experience leading financial system implementations and/or software engineering and development
- 2 years’ technical people management experience
- Experience implementing and/or managing an industry leading financial software package such as Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.
- Experience implementing and/or managing an industry leading SaaS application like Workday, NetSuite, etc.
- Experience leading implementations with various application integration patterns including REST/API, Asynchronous messaging, SFTP file transfer, etc.
- Experience leading modern software design and development
- Understanding of modern middleware architectures and methodologies
- Understanding of Relational Database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
