Responsibilities:
A Financial Systems and Payroll Specialist typically:
- Manages payroll operations ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies as well as collective bargaining agreements.
- Serves as the primary liaison with programmers to facilitate changes/upgrades to the payroll system
- Develops and implements policies and procedures
- Identifies and implements opportunities for ongoing business process improvement to improve accuracy and efficiency of operations to include improving internal control
- Serves as a coordination point for all campus constituencies seeking assistance with payroll issues.
- Direct and train accounting staff
- Required Qualifications:
CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Accountancy or a related field AND two (2) years of professional level accounting experience.
OR
- Possession of current registration as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant, or a valid license to practice Public Accounting (LPA).
OR
- Master's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
- Starting Salary: $4,103 /monthly
