Summary

Responsible for conducting post-funding reviews of new and renewal loans to assure compliance with bank lending policy.

Duties and Qualifications

The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ensures that all loan documentation has been bar-coded and has been scanned/imaged
• Reviews various software systems for accuracy and compliance
• Identifies critical and non-critical loan exceptions
• Verifies financials on system, entity/recorded documents, policies, procedures, perfected liens and on bank collateral
• Verifies safekeeping receipts on certificates of deposit, stock and life insurance policies
• Documents exceptions on documentation checklist
• Enters all files into the scan/review log, and boxes/labels completed files as reflected on the system
• Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations, and all established bank policies and procedures
• Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED and one year of prior loan documentation experience
• Sound understanding of collateral documentation requirements (knowledge of business law is preferred)
• PC literacy and knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software
• Flexibility, professionalism and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and a high degree of mental concentration, as well as the ability to multitask
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired
   

ORGANIZATION 

• This position reports to the Post-Funding Supervisor
• This position does not oversee other positions
   

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

All employees are required to attend scheduled mandatory trainings and complete online regulatory compliance training courses applicable to their specific job function. In all situations, employees must ensure that their actions fully comply with all federal banking laws and regulations, including internal bank policies and procedures. Failure to adhere to these requirements will be grounds for disciplinary action, including probation and possible termination.
