POSITION SUMMARY: YouthCare is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Director of Fundraising to lead our fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for our mission, possessing excellent leadership and fundraising skills to oversee and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies. This individual will play a pivotal role in securing the financial resources necessary to support our organization's programs and growth.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual fundraising goals and support the long-term financial sustainability of the organization.
· Lead, manage, and mentor the fundraising team, consisting of the Major Giving Officer, Mid-Level Giving Manager, Annual Giving Manager, Private Grants Manager and Public Grants Manager, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in donor cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation efforts.
· Identify, cultivate, and solicit major potential funding sources to secure donations and grants.
· Collaborate with the Development leadership team, executive team, and board members to align fundraising strategies with organizational priorities and ensure effective communication and coordination.
· Plan and oversee fundraising campaigns, and initiatives, leveraging various channels to maximize donor engagement and contributions.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing donors while continuously expanding the donor base through targeted outreach and engagement strategies.
· Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, prepare regular reports and analysis to track progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement.
· Stay updated on fundraising best practices, trends, and regulations to continuously enhance fundraising strategies and tactics.
· Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and meetings to promote fundraising initiatives and build partnerships within the community.
· Attend and assist your team members with contributing to our DEI&J culture by creating at least one SMART Goal related to DEI&J within their control to deliver.
· Lead at least one check-in each month with each team member to review SMART Goals, Values, and DEI&J commitments to be set up for success at the mid-year performance review. Additionally, recognize and provide positive feedback for all accomplishments.
