    POSITION SUMMARY: YouthCare is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Director of Fundraising to lead our fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for our mission, possessing excellent leadership and fundraising skills to oversee and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies. This individual will play a pivotal role in securing the financial resources necessary to support our organization's programs and growth.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual fundraising goals and support the long-term financial sustainability of the organization.

    · Lead, manage, and mentor the fundraising team, consisting of the Major Giving Officer, Mid-Level Giving Manager, Annual Giving Manager, Private Grants Manager and Public Grants Manager, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in donor cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation efforts.

    · Identify, cultivate, and solicit major potential funding sources to secure donations and grants.

    · Collaborate with the Development leadership team, executive team, and board members to align fundraising strategies with organizational priorities and ensure effective communication and coordination.

    · Plan and oversee fundraising campaigns, and initiatives, leveraging various channels to maximize donor engagement and contributions.

    · Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing donors while continuously expanding the donor base through targeted outreach and engagement strategies.

    · Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, prepare regular reports and analysis to track progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement.

    · Stay updated on fundraising best practices, trends, and regulations to continuously enhance fundraising strategies and tactics.

    · Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and meetings to promote fundraising initiatives and build partnerships within the community.

    · Attend and assist your team members with contributing to our DEI&J culture by creating at least one SMART Goal related to DEI&J within their control to deliver.

    · Lead at least one check-in each month with each team member to review SMART Goals, Values, and DEI&J commitments to be set up for success at the mid-year performance review. Additionally, recognize and provide positive feedback for all accomplishments.

    QUALIFICATIONS –

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Proven track record of at least 10 years in nonprofit fundraising, with demonstrated success in cultivating major donors, securing grants, and meeting fundraising goals.
    • Knowledge and familiarity with capital campaign fundraising strategy.
    • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a team effectively.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, donors, and community members.
    • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to develop innovative fundraising strategies.
    • Proficiency in using fundraising software, CRM systems, and other relevant tools to track donor information and fundraising performance.
    • Commitment to the mission and values of YouthCare, with a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the community.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
    • This is a full-time position based at our Administrative Office in Seattle. The Director of Fundraising will report to the Chief Development Officer and work closely with the board of directors.
    • Experience and credentials must comply with program contractual requirements, including but not limited to the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) background clearance process and must be at least 21 years of age. DCYF Clearance must be maintained for entirety of employment when working with under-18 clients.

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

    • 10 or more years of experience in individual fundraising such as planned, major, mid-level and annual giving.
    • 5 or more years’ experience securing grants from public and/or private funders.
    • Established network of Seattle and PNW based corporate and nonprofit contacts a plus.
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certification in nonprofit management, fundraising, or a related field.
    • Experience and personal comfort with public speaking.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

    • Must be able to provide I-9 supporting documentation for employment.
    • Ability to provide a negative TB Test (results must be within one year of hire date).
    • Employees who drive YouthCare vehicles as a requirement for their position, must be at least 21 years of old, possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License, meet minimum safe driver criteria established by the agency and our insurance company which includes completion of Defensive Driving and 15-passenger Van trainings. Drivers under the age of 25 must have been licensed for at least three years and those operating vehicles with a capacity of 15 or more passengers must be at least 25 years old.
    • Successful completion of pre-service training as required by contracting agency.
    • Computer software skills including Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

    • High integrity when dealing with a broad array of cultures and restricted and/or confidential information.
    • Ability to accurately maintain and produce files, records, logs and reports.
    • May be required to assume responsibilities or duties within the agency not specifically delineated in this job description for short periods of time or on an infrequent basis.
    • Commitment to YouthCare’s initiative to build cultural proficiency across the agency. Acceptance of a variety of lifestyles, behaviors, and cultural and spiritual practices.

    PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS:

    • Ability to perform a range of physical motions, exerting up to 50 pounds. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, and stooping; running for brief periods of time; and go up and down stairs.

    Pay: $94,051.00 - $136,374.00 per year
