Production Scheduler 1st Shift

Required Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education or Community college diploma in Materials Management and/or combination of 5 years related work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
• Certified in Production and Inventory management (CAPICS, CPIM) an asset
• Excellent mathematical, organizational, time management and communication skills
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, MS Project etc)
• Metal stamping and Production scheduling experience.
• Steel procurement experience an asset
• Metallurgical background and asset.
• General knowledge and understanding of customer service and inventory management.

• Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or the co-workers placed in an unsafe condition.
• Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and manage difficult customer situations.

Responsibilities:

• Review all customers demand for fluctuation and adjust production schedule accordingly
• Prepare daily production schedule using the information from CMS
