    Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate safety leadership and safety consciousness
    • Task train coworkers in the safe and efficient use of equipment
    • Ability to manage the sample inventory and related warehouse material, safely, without damage to the people, property, or process
    • Makes accurate records of new materials placed into storage. Maintains a full understanding of the storage locations
    • Completes periodic daily workplace inspections and corrects problems within individual’s capabilities
    • Accurately photographs drill core ensuring natural colors and minimal distortion
    • Ensures timely shipments to laboratories and accurately completes required forms
    • Demonstrate knowledge of state-wide warehouse locations and the ability to travel to and from these sites safely, while adhering to site safety and protocols
    • Ability to identify naming and numbering errors in sample handling procedures
    • Ability to read and understand material retrieval requests, collect these materials and ship accordingly.

    Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of safety and environmental policies and practices, and willingness to develop related skills sets required
    • Maintain a valid State driver’s license for light vehicles. Ability to safely and effectively operate light vehicles required
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities required
    • Effective organizational and communication skills required
    • Basic math skills required
