Being a Top Government Affairs Executive (Federal Level) directs ongoing monitoring and analysis of proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends to determine the potential impact on the organization. Collaborates with industry groups and organizations with complementary objectives to achieve objectives. Additionally, Top Government Affairs Executive (Federal Level) creates communication vehicles and delivers messaging to inform and support business leaders. Requires a bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, business or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Top Government Affairs Executive (Federal Level) manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Salary: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour commensurate with skills and experience
Reports to: Legislative & Government Affairs Manager
Requirements: Access to reliable transportation to travel throughout the Sacramento area.

ABOUT THE ROLE: The California chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CA) is looking for a passionate and talented individual to fill the Legislative & Government Affairs Coordinator position. This position will work closely with the CAIR-CA Executive Directors, policy and advocacy staff, and communications staff across the state.
