Being a Top Government Affairs Executive (State Level) directs ongoing monitoring and analysis of proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends to determine the potential impact on the organization. Collaborates with industry groups and organizations with complementary objectives to achieve objectives. Additionally, Top Government Affairs Executive (State Level) creates communication vehicles and delivers messaging to inform and support business leaders. Requires a bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, business or equivalent. Typically reports to top management.     The Academic Affairs Coordinator works in an open office setting, collaborating closely with Academic Leadership to update programs and courses. This position will offer the opportunity for personal growth and development in technology and procedures. The individual in this position will have an eye for details and will be innovative and forward thinking.

    • Coordinate activities of the Curriculum Work Group.
    • Update the database system and College Catalog with course and program changes.
    • Work on projects, conduct research, and create and revise reports and professional memos.
    • Assist with updating the Curriculum Procedures and Guidelines Handbook, Academic Affairs document storage, Faculty Handbook, and the future Academic Calendar.
    • Interact with State Agencies, Academic Leadership, and the Academic Records & Enrollment department regarding courses and programs.
    • Approve classroom and conference room reservations and schedule final exam schedules and classrooms.
    • Maintain the Faculty Qualifications chart in accordance with SACSCOC recommendations.
    • Lead training sessions on curriculum processes.

    Job Requirements:
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree required.
    • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience required.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) required.
    • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and able to multi-task.
    • Proactive and willing to take initiative.
    • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills.
    • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
    • Discretion regarding student and personnel matters.
    • Work experience in the higher education setting preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Access, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) preferred.
