    Duties Description
    The office of the New York State Lieutenant Governor (LG) seeks a Director of Operations to join our team as an administrative support, that is collaborative amongst the various functions of our office.

    Under supervision of the Deputy Chief of Staff, the Director of Operations responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Formulate scheduling strategies for the Lt. Governor.
    • Maintains the Lieutenant Governor’s daily and long-term schedule including scheduling appointments, meetings, events, calls, virtual meetings and all other demands for the Lieutenant Governor’s time.
    • Handles the Lieutenant Governor’s travel arrangements, including reservation.
    • Direct the flow of written requests for events and appearances.
    • Send written responses on invitations received.
    • Review events with Lt. Governor for final decision.
    • Coordinate with event contacts, program staff and advance staff on Lt. Governor’s role, event program, and method of transportation.
    • Conduct extensive research for information on events the Lieutenant Governor is attending and prepare briefing materials.
    • Manage meetings on Lt. Governor's schedule.
    • Must exercise discretion and maintain the confidentiality of information; may be required to work extended and unscheduled hours.
    • Communicate with Protective Services Unit to ensure smooth and safe travel for the Lt. Governor.
    • Perform other related assignments and special projects as needed.
