Top Graduate Medical Education Executive oversees the administration of the organization's graduate medical education (GME) programs. Ensures compliance with the ACGME and ensures that residents' work meets all requirements. Being a Top Graduate Medical Education Executive monitors resident assignments and scheduling. Individuals in this position may serve as the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) for the ACGME. Additionally, Top Graduate Medical Education Executive requires an advanced degree. Primary function is to provide secretarial assistance to the manager. Duties are performed with a relatively high level of independent judgment. Responsibilities normally include composing and typing correspondence, serving as receptionist, maintaining confidential records, taking minutes at meetings, coordinating projects, etc.
