Top Coat Painter

Pay: $18-20/hr

Skill Requirement:

The wet spray operator must possess basic math, reading and writing skills and be committed to observe and follow all quality and safety procedures. Must have good time management and decision making skills. The ability to follow procedures correctly and inspect quality of work is of vital importance. Working well in teams from diverse backgrounds as both a leader and an individual contributor is required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Is familiar with several types of paint and air guns
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator and safety glasses, in the manner recommended by the company policies.
• Mixes paint according o company specifications
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color
• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and hazardous materials
• Possesses the ability to paint and maintain a high quality finish on metal casting, removes rust from metal work surface prior to painting
• Verifies that completed work is done to expected quality standards prior to submitting for final approval
• Operates a forklift properly
• Attends training, company meetings and updates forklift certification when needed
• Performs any other assigned duties

Ongoing training provided which includes; On the job, forklift, written and verbal training.
