Job Summary:
The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the Human Resource processes at all Godfrey & Wing business locations. You will also provide administrative and clerical support within the Human Resources Department as well as directly support the HR Director with clerical duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Assist in recordkeeping, maintaining Human Resources files and databases.
· Provide administrative assistance including scheduling meetings and interviews, customer visit preparation, travel arrangements as requested by the Director of HR.
· Assists in Administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
· Function as primary contact regarding employee relations and/or investigations and provides assistance.
· Assist with Employee Orientations and Onboarding.
· Assist with processing of terminations.
· Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
· Coordinate employee activities such as parties and feedback surveys.
· Assist with company-related safety training.
· Files documents into appropriate employee files.
· Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
· Prepares new employee files.
· Processes mail.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Working knowledge of Paylocity or other Applicant Tracking Systems is a plus.
· Some travel required.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
· At least two years’ related experience required in a HR role.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
