Holy Cross Family Ministries (HCFM) is an international Catholic apostolate rooted in Marian spirituality under the sponsorship of the Congregation of Holy Cross, whose core mission is to educate families about the power of family prayer and nurture its practice. Founded by Venerable Patrick Peyton, C.S.C. in 1942 as Family Rosary and expanding to include Family Theater Productions in 1947, HCFM (www.hcfm.org) continues the mission of its founder in 27 ministry centers, in 17 countries, on 5 continents.
The Executive Director will oversee Human Resources matters for a team of about 50 staff located in North Easton, Massachusetts and at Family Theater Productions in Hollywood, California. The candidate will be expected to work in person at the North Easton, Massachusetts Headquarters, five days per week.
Key Job Responsibilities: Lead the Human Resources department to accomplish strategic goals of the ministry. The Human Resources department consists of Employee Relations, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting and Hiring, On-boarding, Off-boarding, Employee Wellness and Development.
Assess department opportunities for improved efficiency.
Oversee professional development for staff, including a focus on developing a missionary spirit.
Partner with department heads to assess organizational design and leadership needs, and develop/implement programs to address those needs.
Identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps across the ministry. Conduct compensation reviews and competitive assessments for ministry roles.
Engage in tactical and consultative role on Compensation Committee.
Provide oversight and intervention on employee relations, disputes, litigation, internal investigations, and documentation across the ministry.
Oversee training for ministry managers on employee issues.
Maintain and keep current HCFM Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required.
Advanced degree beneficial, but not required. Minimum 8 years HR experience, with increasing responsibilities demonstrated.
PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR or SHRM-SCP beneficial.

Strong time management skills, in leadership and training settings. Must be comfortable presenting in front of groups of varying size.
High level of familiarity with HR best practices.
Strong knowledge of legislation and regulations in employment field.
An ability to maintain strict confidence regarding all information and issues addressed under this position; must be able to recognize and respect confidential information in any and all forms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, HR/Payroll systems, and a generally sound understanding of how to navigate other information systems.
Willingness to learn and grow.
