Additionally, Top Human Resources Executive identifies and explores trends in human resources to enhance the employee experience, meet evolving organizational needs and create innovative programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Human Resources Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.   • Community and Family Resources provides substance use, mental health, and gambling treatment and prevention services across Iowa. We are seeking candidates for an HR Generalist in Fort Dodge. The person in this role will work directly with managers on their team to recruit and retain outstanding staff members.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Collaborate with the HR team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
    • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications, including verification of professional licenses/certifications and credentialing.
    • Leads new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
    • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
    • Ensures that personnel files are maintained in accordance with industry standards.

    Schedule:

    • Type: Full-time
    • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p

    Education and Experience Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required and 2 years of human resources experience OR;
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and at least 1 year of human resources experience preferred.
