Overview: The Executive Security Specialist is a multifaceted role that ensures the safety and security of all events, provides comprehensive intelligence analysis, and includes the responsibilities of safe transportation of key executives.
This position requires an individual with a blend of analytical, security, and driving skills to assess risks, implement security measures, and ensure the safety of high-profile individuals during transport. The successful candidate will be adept at planning, communication, and emergency response, capable of working in a fast-paced and sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities: Event Security and Intelligence Analysis: Conduct risk assessments for events, identifying security threats and vulnerabilities. Gather and analyze intelligence to inform security planning. Develop and implement tailored security plans for each event. Coordinate with various stakeholders for effective security coverage. Monitor security systems and respond to incidents during events. Provide security briefings to management and stakeholders.
Executive Protection Driving: Responsible for the safe transportation of executives to and from events, meetings, and other locations as required, accounts for approximately 20% of the role.
Conduct route planning and reconnaissance to identify the safest and most efficient routes. Maintain a high level of situational awareness and discretion at all times to ensure executive privacy and security. Perform regular security checks and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition for safe transport. Train in defensive driving and emergency response techniques to effectively handle any on-road incidents.
Accompany and protect individuals during travel, events, and in various public and private settings. Conduct advance security preparations, including route planning, venue assessments, and coordination with local authorities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in security operations, intelligence analysis, or a similar role, with proven experience as an executive protection driver.
Exceptional driving skills with a clean driving record.
Proficiency in security technologies and intelligence analysis tools.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules and requirements.
Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes at short notice.
A valid security license/certification as required by law.
Prior military, law enforcement, or private security background is highly desirable.
Security driving training certification/training is mandatory – law enforcement driving does not count.
