Top Inventory Control Executive oversees, plans, and directs all aspects of inventory management policies, objectives, and initiatives. Develops standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Being an Top Inventory Control Executive leads inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Develops and implements inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Additionally, Top Inventory Control Executive collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Inventory Control Executive manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Top Inventory Control Executive typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Conducts monthly cycle counts and reports inventory variances.

    2. Investigates all losses and gains from the inventory variance report.

    3. Ensures inventory variances are reconciled.

    4. Balances the month-end inventory for raw packaging and intermediates.

    5. Assists the production department with Purchase Orders.

    6. Substitutes for the Production Office Coordinator when necessary.

     

    Job Specifications

    1. 2 years purchasing, or inventory experience is required.

    2. Food industry experience is preferred.

    3. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

    4. Basic PC and 10-key skills are required.

    5. Must be able to read, write, and speak English and be understood.

    6. English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.

    7. Ability to work a flexible schedule based upon production demand. 

     

    Working Conditions

    1. Office and warehouse environment.  

    2. The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.

    3. Repetitive lifting, kneeling, and bending with packages in excess of 35 lbs is required.

    4. Requires walking and standing for long periods of time.

    5. Flexible schedule and hours based on business needs.

    6. Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.
