The Inventory Control Specialist responsibilities include the managing, analyzing, and auditing of inventory and the implementing of effective inventory control procedures.
Job Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate inventory counts within the ERP system.
· Continuously review all inventory functions for operational efficiency.
· Ensure efficient and accurate inventory management processes, consistent with company policies and procedures.
· Manage an efficient cycle count strategy. Make system adjustments as required and analyze results of counts to initiate ongoing corrective actions.
· Determine disposition of damaged and / or expired products, including any possible cost recoveries.
· Provide timely and accurate responses to Customer Service and Purchasing-initiated cycle count requests.
· Identify, document, investigate, and reconcile inventory variances and discrepancies.
· Follow-up with appropriate staff to ensure compliance with inventory processes.
· Collaborate with accounting to answer questions.
· Audit the Inventory Control functions for transactional processes within the company.
Qualifications
· Associate Degree or equivalent coursework experience.
· Basic Computer Skills; ERP experience a plus.
· Knowledge and experience managing inventory within a distribution and warehouse environment.
· Analytical and mental awareness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities.
· Ability to work with minimum supervision and posses’ strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
· Must have strong Inventory Control Management skillsets & concepts.
· Must have excellent professionalism, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written)
· Must have organizational & prioritization (time management/multi-tasking) skills, able to adapt to changing priorities, initiative to learn cross functional tasks/responsibilities, and enthusiastic about seeking out opportunities for efficiency improvement.
