Top Inventory Control Executive oversees, plans, and directs all aspects of inventory management policies, objectives, and initiatives. Develops standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Being an Top Inventory Control Executive leads inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Develops and implements inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Additionally, Top Inventory Control Executive collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Inventory Control Executive manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Top Inventory Control Executive typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. The Inventory Control Clerk supports the Inventory Control team by performing data entry, reviewing and circulating adjustments, Maintaining and updating records, counting materials, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock and reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records- Enter adjustments into the ERP System.
- Review and circulate Item Journals for posting.
- Review adjustments entered by other departments for accuracy and errors.
- Review transactions in the system as part of reconciliation and review of adjustments.
- Use system-generated reports for reviewing inventory.
- Perform some basic analysis utilizing excel, including use of standardized templates.
- Maintain Inventory Control Department files.
- Work on special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Experience in data entry in an ERP system.
- A background of data entry in either a manufacturing or distribution environment, with experience in inventory, production control, receiving, or shipping. (REQUIRED)
- Perform basic math and interpret both written and verbal instructions correctly.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and through e-mail.
- Basic excel skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team and across departments.
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with some analytical ability.
Pay Rate: $18/hr.- $20/hr.
Work Schedule: 7:30AM to 4:00PM
