Top Inventory Control Executive oversees, plans, and directs all aspects of inventory management policies, objectives, and initiatives. Develops standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Being an Top Inventory Control Executive leads inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Develops and implements inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Additionally, Top Inventory Control Executive collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Inventory Control Executive manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Top Inventory Control Executive typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. We are seeking an Inventory Manager to join our team supporting the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration (NOAA) in Silver Spring, MD. This position will support activities within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Services Delivery Division (SDD). The position will provide support for IT inventory management.
Duties include:
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business IT systems and user needs.
- Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
- Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
- Familiar with related computer software/programs used to perform job functions.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Location: Currently full-time in office; May change to hybrid depending on client needs.
Additional Job Site Info: Located close to metro stop; employee-paid parking is available under the building and in garages nearby.
Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday – Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- BS/BA in appropriate field (or equivalent)
- 2 to 4 years of experience in an appropriate field
