Duties and Responsibilities

The Financial Advisor is responsible for educating clients on the products and services available to help them best utilize their funds and achieve important financial goals.

Job Duties include:

• Meeting individually with clients to determine their financial objectives, risk tolerance, income, expenses and assets
• Offering strategic advice on products and services, such as investments, insurance coverage and debt management tools
• Performing market research to stay current with financial trends
• Preparing financial documents, such as income projections and investment reports.
• Identifying and pursuing potential clients to maintain a strong client base
• The Financial Advisor will focus on developing relationships with the staff of FNB North to develop trust and referrals of bank clients to the Investment Department
• The Financial Advisor will refer, when appropriate, clients to the bank for bank related products

Skills and Qualifications

The Financial Advisor uses many skills and a variety of industry expertise to help clients reach their financial goals including:

• Understanding of industry and federal regulations
• In-depth Knowledge of financial and insurance products
• Expertise in financial planning and investment strategies
• Advanced ability to analyze and explain market data
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, database and financial planning software
• Analytical thinking skills and the ability to assess client needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective sales, presentation and customer service abilities
• Good organization and time management skills
• Series 7 license
• Series 65 or 66 License
• Insurance license (life & health)
