    Position Overview

    TDP is seeking an experienced professional with direct institutional investor relationships, a strong track record of client management and/or capital raising in the private markets (with a focus on private credit), and the ability to effectively communicate an investment strategy to prospective investors with the goal of raising capital. The successful candidate will have the following core set of responsibilities:

    Primary Responsibilities

    Investor Prospecting and Relationship Management:

    • Identify and nurture new prospective investor targets, including but not limited to: endowments, insurance companies, RIAs, family offices, foundations, fund of funds, asset managers and consultants
    • Strengthen existing client relationships that align to TDP’s mission and values
    • Oversee the entire pipeline of investor prospects including lead generation, initial introductory calls/meetings and ongoing engagement
    • Serve as a point of contact for existing and potential investors, responding to inquiries and providing timely updates on fund performance, market trends and other relevant information  

    Strategic Marketing and Communication:

    • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of TDP’s differentiated investment strategy including the organization’s history, industry leading returns, portfolio companies, exceptional team and collaborative culture
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the market by monitoring industry trends and assessing the competitive landscape, etc. in order to create compelling messages to prospective investors 
    • Promote TDP’s market position, competitive advantage and value proposition to prospective investors
    • Lead the creation and delivery of presentations, reports and other marketing assets to articulate TDP’s investment opportunity

    Performance and Personal Competencies

    Established and strong institutional investor relationships:

    • Highly regarded within the investment community
    • Experience developing and managing relationships institutional investors
    • History of consulting institutional investors and ability to secure funding from high quality investors
    • Understanding of the private credit/equity fundraising process and exceeding investor expectations

    Market Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of credit markets, industry trends, regulations and developments
    • Proficient in implementing and executing various credit strategies to optimize portfolio performance

    Communication and Relationship Building Skills:

    • Capability of articulating and selling investment strategy and engaging in solutions-oriented discussions with prospective investors
    • Naturally able to connect and build strong relationships with others, strong emotional intelligence and ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
    • Proven interpersonal communication skills with well-developed presentation skills

    Entrepreneurial mindset, with an ability to be nimble and work without a playbook:

    • Creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas to drive investor pipeline
    • Self-motivated and proactive individual with an ability to work independently at times without a high degree of hand holding

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Undergraduate degree from a well-respected institution
    • Minimum of 5 years of financial services or consultant experience in an outward facing role

    Minimum of 3 years successfully initiating and developing institutional investors relationships and preferably raising capital for private funds, preferably in private credit and/or private equity
