The community you’ll be caring for:

• The Maitland Office Plaza houses our highly skilled teams that support our hospital system including Marketing, Patient Financial Services, Revenue Management, the Credit Union and Human Resources.

• The Trickle Building, a two-story office structure, creates an atmosphere of health and healing, with a healthy-style café and quaint chapel.

The role you’ll contribute:

Under the direction of the Vice President of Laboratory Services, responsible for providing executive leadership, contributing to strategic development, and program implementation for Laboratory departments throughout Central Florida Division (CFD) for all accreditation and regulatory components of all laboratories, policy and procedures, quality assurance and billing compliance. Ensures laboratories follows safety and quality assurance procedures, seeing to it that team members are properly trained and always complying with necessary rules and regulations. The Executive Director of Policy and Quality takes a leadership role related to blood and test utilization, outcomes, informatics, quality and safety. This role provides direct leadership, accountability and direction in the translation of business strategies into organizational initiatives, and clinical priorities for the laboratory system support team. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

• Provides executive guidance, strategic development, operational and technical oversight and program implementation for Laboratory departments throughout the Acute Care Services business units within the Central Florida Division in the areas of education, policy, procedure, quality and safety.

• Works collaboratively with physician leadership to lead the clinical team in achieving Wholistic, Affordable, Connected, Viable and Exceptional care with the best possible clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction, by providing best practice quality care in a safe environment.

• Promotes communication and collaboration of interdisciplinary processes that focus on safety and best-practice outcomes for patients and staff across the continuum.

• Create unity and a framework of standardization across CFD to ensure consistency in patient care, experience, and quality.

• Empower operational ownership at the campus level while maintaining excellence in system standardization and quality.

• Foster a divisional culture of excellence through clinical alignment on best practice.

• Develops and implements strategic plans and short/long term goals throughout the ancillary service lines within the Acute Care Services business units within the Central Florida Division. Integrates plans and programs with overall organization’s strategic plan and mission.

Qualifications - External

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Services Administration.

• Minimum of five (5) years in progressive leadership experience in the healthcare field, preferably in an acute healthcare setting.

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a health care setting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• N/A

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• Licensed by State of Florida at Clinical Laboratory Supervisor level

• Nationally certified as Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent term

LICENSURE OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

• Certification by ASQ or equivalent national certification in healthcare quality

• Certification in Six Sigma Certification
