Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide support and supervision to children in the classroom
- Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance
- Help with the preparation and organization of materials and resources
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the classroom
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Skills:
- Early childhood education: Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Experience with children: Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting preffered
- Literacy education: Ability to promote early literacy skills through storytelling, reading, and interactive activities
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Classroom management: Ability to maintain a structured and organized classroom environment while promoting engagement and participation
- Special education: Familiarity with strategies for supporting children with special needs or learning differences
- Toddler care: Understanding of the unique needs and developmental milestones of toddlers
- Experience working with students: Previous experience working with students in an educational setting
