The Business Development team is hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM) to improve market share by building and maintaining business relationships with prospective clients. The BDM is responsible for business development activities from lead generation through supporting the Business Development team through contract signing, and client post-service follow-ups for the achievement of customer satisfaction and revenue generation.

- Forecasts client activity and sets performance goals accordingly
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs
- Maintains a strong understanding of PK’s service lines
- Maintains all CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, including Hubspot
- Maintains records of all visits and telephone contacts of the assigned regulatory clients within the database daily
- Generates reports, as required
- Participates in tradeshows and/or regulatory conferences, when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Valid Driver’s License
- At least 5 years’ experience selling professional services
- Lived in the capital city for 5 years with a demonstrated understanding of how state government agencies purchase goods and services
- Proficiency in use of a Sales CRM
- Demonstrated proficiency in persuasive writing using conversational English
- Highly motivated, pro-active self-starter with excellent time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with internal and external parties
- Must have the ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines
- Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness
- Must be able to address the needs of diverse customers; understand and respond in a culturally responsive way
- Must demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
- Must have the ability to travel to client sites
- Ability to work from a home-based office
- Must have the ability to work at a computer for extensive periods of time
- Must have the ability to speak on the telephone for extended periods of time
- Must have the ability to read (paper or computer screen) for extended periods of time
- Must have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other Company equipment
