The Systems Architect will assist with design, implement, and maintain computer systems and programs to increase business effectiveness, solve problems and create new opportunities to assist in achievement of business goals.
The Systems Architect – Logistics & Warehouse Management position requires strong system competency related to shipping, receiving, and warehousing. Systems Architects design, implement and maintain Kohler business best practices worldwide with a focus on shipping material to customers and other Kohler plants as well material storage in a warehouse environment. The ability to design and drive continuous improvement of systems and related business processes in Logistics is required. The candidate should have good English skills and at least 7 years of IT project experience. An ideal candidate must have deep knowledge of Logistics capabilities and system settings in areas such as inventory allocation, shipment load planning, warehouse management, physical inventory and cycle counting, receiving, transportation and carrier management, including domestic and international documentation and carrier payment processes. Deep experience with SAP delivery and shipment processing, warehouse management (WM), transportation and/or EWM is required. Exposure to IT processes within an organization utilizing an ERP solution is necessary. Previous hands-on system configuration and demonstrated solution design abilities are required.
The role will involve working with Kohler Co. at a global level and across multiple time zones with a wide variety of key working relationships in areas such as USA, China, Europe, and India. Regional and global travel may be required up to 30%.
