Account Executive

INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in Huntington Beach, CA is looking for a freelance Account Executive to join our growing team!

This is a long-term contract role with potential to turn fulltime in 2025. We are a hybrid workplace, x2 days week onsite.  Only local candidates to SoCal will be considered.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

The Account Management team works with the Genesis automotive marketing clients to identify business needs that translates to clear assignments for the agency team. Account Managers will work with agency departments to develop internal creative briefs, guide process from ideation to delivery, and manage client relationship including reviews/approvals and project status along the way. Account Managers are also responsible for managing budgets and timing and ensuring all assignments deliver on business needs and meet client expectations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for an Account Executive to come in and help us out on a premium automotive account!  The Account Executive position requires the ability to effectively manage projects from start to finish, while demonstrating the ability to organize workload and workflow through coordination of agency activities and client contact.

The Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day execution of programs and/or projects associated with the Genesis RMAP (Regional Marketing Amplification Program) accounts, and ensuring that work is on strategy, on time and within budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Acts as the liaison to our regional office, on all issues, including day-to-day operations.
• Foster effective, efficient and/or innovative solutions to improve upon day-to-day processes.
• Leads the established “tagging process” for all RMAP markets effectively regionalizing all TV & digital video creative.
• Is knowledgeable about the brand, the products, RMAP market conditions & dynamics and competitors.
• Prepare accurate and timely internal communication: conference reports, job starters, assignment summaries.
• Monitor project estimates vs. time and cost, including maintaining up-to-date, accurate budget tracking as required. Responsible for alerting the senior team of any potential cost issues.
• Prepare and distribute project and creative trackers/summaries to clients
• Anticipate, and proactively make the Senior Account team aware of any and all expectation issues.
• Responsible for management of weekly project status sheet and key work back calendars
• Assist in the development of client presentations as requested.
• Assist with retail campaign launch (i.e. support with decks, delivery to client, etc)
• Serve as “assignment expert” who knows the details of job status.
• Enforces adherence to brand and quality standards.
• Assist with the scheduling, arranging and coordinating of meetings as requested.
• Responsible for the uploads and organization of the RMAP creative library.
• Monitor competitive activity and conduct competitive reviews/analyses on a monthly basis.
• Support Senior Account Executive and Management Supervisor.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years in a full-service ad agency.  Knowledge of regional and/or dealership operations is a plus. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong time management, organizational and project management skills, as well as the ability to balance multiple assignments and set priorities.
• Must be computer proficient with working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
• Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or relevant, equivalent experience.

The salary for this role is $70,000-$75,000.  Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: client, experience, training, and transferable skills.
