Job Summary:

Works with the Director of Materials Management to maintain the inventory and systems which support patient care. Creates and places purchase orders. Helps meet the supply needs of OHCC by checking and restocking supply rooms, filling requisitions, placing orders, and receiving and documenting and distributing incoming deliveries.

Qualifications:

Education/experience: High school diploma.

Other requirements:

Able to work independently carrying out diverse activities with minimal supervision. Proficient computer skills required.

Essential Functions Of The Position:

              Purchasing

• Receiving orders.
• Sources non-inventory supplies and equipment by using phone contacts, web-based tools, and catalogs. 
• Updates item files as directed. 
• Stock shelves as needed. 
• Keeps departments informed about the status of open orders. 
• Keeps Director of Purchasing informed about critical back-order situations. 

            Receiving & Distribution

• Properly disburses materials to various locations in central supply and throughout OHCC. 
• Swap and refill exchange cart.
• Enters expense and transfer transactions daily on the MMIS.
• Check and refill Nursing Stock Room, Emergency Rooms, and Medication Room 
• Maintain cleanliness and order in Nursing Supply Room. Straighten, pick up, and reorganize shelf areas as needed. 
• Fills requisitions from departments for stock items
• Maintains records of shipments and tracks and provides proof of delivery as requested.
