  • PRIMARY FOCUS:


    The M&A Director (PMI) is expected to lead & facilitate the successful integration of new acquisitions. This individual will work directly with all designated Workstream Leads to ensure critical tasks & milestone dates are achieved. Reporting to the Vice President of Operational Excellence, the AIPM will provide guidance and support for acquired entities.  They will track integration progress closely and compile information needed for recurring updates with Senior Leadership Teams, Acquired Company Management, and the cross-functional team members assigned to executing Integration Plans. This person will also participate as needed in other enterprise betterment initiatives as identified by Marmic’s Corporate Development Team (i.e. other duties as assigned).


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Lead all Program Management activities needed for the successful integration of new acquisitions, capturing and compiling Tasks, Task Owners, Start/End Dates, Resource Requirements, etc. 

    • Work effectively in a Matrix-environment with designated Workstream Leads across multiple operational disciplines: Fleet, Procurement, Finance, CRMs, Service Dispatch Platforms, Information Technology (IT), Training, Licensing, and Human Resources.

    • Capture Task & Timeline detail using standard Project Management methodologies such as Task Prioritization, Task Dependencies, & Task Sequencing.  

    • Readout and Reporting on a regular basis, focusing on exceptions such as late task starts/finishes, missed milestones, unassigned tasks, missing documentation, and/or resource overages. 

    • Monitor Project Planning & Execution closely to ensure it is aligned with Marmic’s Operating Model and follows best practices as outlined in M&A PMO/IMO Playbook. 

    • Utilize a variety of Project Management tools for reporting and readout purposes, with a strong focus on Marmic’s SmartSheet technology platform and its roll-up Dashboard reporting views. 

    • Consolidate documents across Workstream Leads & Operational Disciplines utilizing Google Drive, Shared Folders, and other cloud-based technologies to maintain document version control and to provide “one single version of the truth” to all M&A stakeholders.

    • Capture baseline KPIs and financial data needed for ‘Before and After’ comparisons as outlined in our Value Creation models. Work with Senior Leadership & Finance to quantify and validate the “lift” provided by closely following Marmic’s M&A playbook.

    • Document all end-to-end activities related to successful acquisition integration needed for Case-Study discussions or to refine existing Playbooks, Best Practices and/or SOP Documents.

    • Ensure timely updates are provide by Workstream Leads prior to recurring PMO/IMO calls. Compile updates across disciplines to ensure senior leaders are aware of any open issues/risks. Ensure effective communications to all stakeholders

    • Serve as active participant in diligence of target acquisitions in order to lead the evaluation of key issues, assessing integration challenges and development of post-close planning

    • Provide onsite guidance and support as needed at M&A targets and other assigned project locations

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5 years Project Management experience utilizing standard tools for tracking and reporting

    • Understanding of end-to-end corporate structure/functions and workflow across operational disciplines

    • Strong business acumen and basic understanding of financial reporting tools & operational KPIs

    • Direct leadership experience in at least one senior operation/functional role

    • Experience building basic Spreadsheets and Presentations to utilized in executive level readouts

    • Hands-on experience leading conference calls, assigning action items, setting goals and exception-based reporting

    • Ability to travel 30% - 50% of the time

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 


    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
