The Mortgage Origination Manager will provide leadership, guidance, and support to the mortgage origination team, ensure quality loan origination, train, and provide ongoing training. Manage all aspects of HAPO Mortgage related sales efforts, while meeting or exceeding personal mortgage loan production goals and objectives. Is responsible for generating new mortgage business by building an ongoing mortgage referral network and developing relationships within the real estate community, including realtors, builders, and developers. Essential Job Functions Include but are not limited to:

• Train staff and provide ongoing education
• Recruit, hire, and develop qualified, high-performing mortgage origination staff
• Provide guidance in resolving complex or challenging loans transactions, to include assisting MLOs with loan scenarios, restructure applications, evaluating loan documentation, product guidelines and pricing
• Plan and develop sales strategies, as well as the setting of goals and standards
• Work with Marketing to develop marketing strategies
• Be the main resource for the lending platform, while making recommendations for improvements as needed
• Ensure contact is maintained with clients by MLOs to foster a good working relationship between lender and member that supports sales as well as increases customer base
• Monitor the performance of MLOs to identify areas where improvement is needed
• Ensure compliance with all investor requirements, credit union policies and lending practices, as well as federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or other related area or equivalent working experience in mortgage lending
• Must have through and extensive knowledge and experience in all mortgage origination processes and procedures, with a minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management position
• Active Washington MLO license

Annual Salary: This is an exempt position. Base Salary is DOE and ranges from $85,942.69 – 107,428.46 Commission
