    Job Requirements: A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-7 years as an Executive Director or senior manager. Preferred requirements are a Master's degree and 8-10 years as an Executive Director or senior manager.

    GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Summary: The Executive Director reports to the Board and is responsible for the daily operation of the entity. The Executive Director is responsible for the design and operation of all programs and services and management of all financial resources. The Executive Director will develop, plan, implement, market, and evaluate programs to improve effectiveness of nonprofit organizations in the Permian Basis and Trans-Pecos.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Plan, develop, and supervise programs to build skills in the nonprofit sector.
    • Provide and evaluate referral, consulting, and training services for the nonprofit sector.
    • Design programs to strengthen area nonprofits in the areas of fundraising, board governance, financial management. and strategic planning.
    • Identify and research issues and areas of concern to the nonprofit sector including trends and best practices.
    • Oversee hiring, evaluation, and termination of employees.
    • Create an ongoing marketing program to build awareness of the Center and its capabilities.
    • Serves as the chief spokesperson for the Center and represents the Center at community events, funder meetings, and nonprofit meetings.
    • Evaluate program improvements and recommend policy to the Board.
    • Formulate budgets for discussion and approval by the Board.
    • Provide regular program and financial reports to the Board.
    • Seek funding and/or resources from a broad range of sources.
    • Develop and maintain records and report on programs and services.
    • Work with the Board President to coordinate Board and committee meetings.
    • Travels locally to Midland and Odessa and regionally as needed.
    • Perform other duties as needed or directed by the Board.

    CRITICAL SKILLS:

    • Advanced coursework in nonprofit management and leadership
    • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and fiscal controls
    • Successful fundraising experience, including grantwriting
    • Effective communications and team-building skills
    • Strong assessment and facilitation skills
    • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative manner
    • Capability to manage and organize multiple projects
    • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, accounting, and fundraising software
    • Competence in outcome evaluation processes
    • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
    • Self-motivated with a growth mindset

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
