The Queens County District Attorney’s Office (QDA) is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to assist with the resolution of workplace issues and the development and implementation of employee-related policies and procedures. In addition, the Labor and Employment Attorney will work with the Chief EEO Officer to ensure office-wide compliance with all applicable laws related to equal opportunity in the office.

Preferred Education and Qualification Requirements:
Applicants must have admission to the New York State Bar; and four years of recent full‐time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience after admission to any bar, eighteen months of which must have been in the supervision of other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work.
Applicants must also have extensive experience in employment and discrimination law, experience with civil service law issues and strong oral and written advocacy skills.
Applicants must have the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of information, deal with sensitive information, and comply with HIPAA.
Prior experience and knowledge of DCAS policies and procedures preferred.
