In close collaboration with the Senior Privacy Counsel, you will help build our organization’s global privacy program and support day-to-day requests for guidance and commercial transactions from a privacy perspective.
You will also on raising the organization’s level of awareness around privacy risk and incorporating privacy by design into business planning.
What You'll Do Here :
As a subject matter expert, work with Sr. Privacy Counsel to provide privacy guidance and support to colleagues across all functions and business units
Act as first point of contact for certain privacy matters raised by partners and customers
Create and maintain an organized structure for tracking and reporting on key privacy initiatives
Draft, review and negotiate data processing agreements and other contracts related to personal data to ensure alignment with business operations and compliance with global data protection regulations
Assist with responding to privacy-related customer inquiries and customer diligence questions
Provide support for cookie compliance program
Assist with data mapping, including conducting informational interviews, crafting and maintaining records in our privacy platform and designing processes to keep the records current
Draft and / or update privacy notices, policies, guidelines, processes and procedures
Monitor new and upcoming privacy and data protection laws, regulatory developments and the privacy practices of peer companies
Monitor the privacy inbox and triage all incoming matters
Assist in developing and administering privacy training and awareness campaigns
Assist with managing and improving process and procedures for data subject requests
Conduct privacy impact assessments of programs, systems, products, and services
Required Skills / Experience :
A minimum of 5 years work experience focused on issues related to privacy and data protection particularly, in connection with data processing agreements and data mapping
Firm grasp of global privacy and data protection laws (e.g., FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, CCPA)
Experience conducting privacy reviews
Experience with OneTrust
Skilled at managing privacy programs and identifying and implementing process improvements
Skilled at contract drafting and negotiating contracts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with leaders across the organization.
Demonstrated practical, real world approach to problem-solving with the ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment
Experience working with technology companies, particularly EdTech companies a plus
Para)legal background is a plus

Base Pay Range
