Job Function:
Conceptualize, design, and develop total system or product solutions for enterprise-wide information technology or engineering/manufacturing processes.
Translate customer and organizational objectives and critical success factors into actionable business, organization, and technology strategies. Create IT plans based on an understanding of the customer's organization, strategic direction, technology context, and business needs. Lead and work in a collaborative effort to conceptualize total systems and product solutions.
Architect, design, and develop integrated business or engineering systems and products to support the achievement of the customer's business goals. Leads others in the definition of project scope, plans, and deliverables including cost projections and proposed implementation dates. Control project requirements, scope, and change management issues. Assist leadership in determining tactical and strategic direction of the division/organization. Work with others to develop and propose new business and technical opportunities to leadership and the customer. Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
• Lead recommendations that involves engineering development, integration, and interface design analysis, installation, integration, fielding and field analysis, operation, maintenance, and testing of Agency communication systems and networks hardware and software.
• Supports the local, regional, and wide area networks (WANs), and Agency communication systems and networks supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information.
• Review and analyze the existing network architecture and provide designs of current/modern WAN/MAN/LAN technologies
• Recommends best practices such as Software Defined Network (SDN), Intent-based networking, and network segmentation protocols, etc., to improve the existing architecture and meet new networking requirements
• Designing telecommunications circuit specifications
• Identify the need for routers, switches, and encryption devices to support enterprise services
• Deliver service catalog items for automatically provisioning network configurations to deliver
• Develop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts
Requirements:
• (Preferred) Bachelor's degree in relevant field or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree
• 10 years of Cisco experience
• Experience in business and a core technical service
