    Job Summary:

    This position assists the Retail Underwriting Team for Bell Bank. This position works collaboratively with and takes direction from the Retail Underwriting Manager. This position's role is intended to support the Retail Underwriting Team while offering an expansive opportunity for intellectual growth moving toward an underwriting career path.
    Primary Duties:
    • Manage underwriting capacity and workflow by assigning daily workloads, maintaining logs as needed.
    • Maintain Retail Underwriting Bell Share Site with updated forms, policies and procedures as directed by Retail Underwriting Manager.
    • Image documentation as requested by underwriting team.
    • Manage Retail Underwriting Email inbox and direct questions to the appropriate team member when assistance is needed.
    • Order appraisals, maintain appraisal log and mail appraisals, as needed.
    • Take minutes at bi-weekly meetings and post on Retail Underwriting Bell Share site.
    • Research and assist with resolution of title issues as requested by the underwriting team.
    • Check Home Equity Loan rate spread calculations weekly and communicate to Retail Underwriting Manager results.
    • Work closely with Retail Lenders, Branch Managers and Consumer Loan Documentation Teams to help identify and implement efficient and effective procedures to ensure sound lending decisions and high level customer service.
    • Coordinate USPS mail and UPS/Fed Ex pick-up and delivery at the branch level.
    • Order supplies weekly or as needed.
    • Know by name and face as many internal customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.
    • Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.
    • Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.
    • Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
    • All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Job Skills Required:

    • One to two years of office/administrative experience.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skill to provide exceptional customer service.
