Network Engineer

  • Responsibilities

    Noblis MSD is looking to hire a Network Engineer with at least 5 years of operational network experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level Network Engineer to work in a full-time capacity providing preventative and remedial maintenance on hardware, networks, systems and applications.

     

    In this position you will analyze and troubleshoot system functionality and health, identify, implement and test required updates and repairs. This includes procurement and management of network equipment, parts, spares and materials; install, de-install, relocate and re-install hardware; develop and create accurate system documentation and configuration management; provide familiarization training on the network system; and provide basic operating system, encryption device, Cisco UCS, Nexus 9000 series  and network administration.

    Required Qualifications

    • Candidate must possess an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
    • Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Engineering
    • Candidate must have at least five years’ experience providing maintenance, technical and logistic support for network systems; configuring and maintaining Firewall Servers; loading and maintaining Bulk Encryption devices.
    • Candidate must possess an Operating System training certificate in Linux or Microsoft 2008 or higher
    • Candidate must possess one of the following certificates: Security  or Network  or CCNA.
    • Candidate must have basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Exchange Server, CISCO and VMWare. Minimal travel required.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Ideal candidate will have knowledge in DHCP, VXLAN, DMVPN, site-to-site VPN, layer 2, EXSI, Cisco UCS manager, Cisco ASA firewalls and knowledge of DISA's 1G circuits.
    • Additionally, candidate should have experience with DISA, DoD circuit registration and various network monitoring application.

    USD $85,600.00/Yr.

    Maximum Salary

    USD $149,800.00/Yr.

    Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
